Fruithof holiday park is a beautiful, spacious place. Park manager Roeël and his team do everything they can to ensure guests have an unforgettable family holiday. The large, indoor swimming pool and paddling pool are transformed into a real outdoor water park when the weather is nice! There are several sensational slides at Fruithof, including the Spacebowl. The recreational lake and the sandy beach also provide lots of swimming fun!
The Fruithof holiday park is located in Klijndijk, just 3.7 miles (6km) from the Wildlands Adventure zoo in Emmen. The holiday park offers comfortable chalets as well as camping pitches.
The water park features a lovely swimming lake with a sandy beach. There’s also an indoor swimming area with a pool, a large waterslide and a children’s pool with water games. The roof of our swimming pool can be opened for outdoor swimming when the weather permits!
The campsite has an indoor play area where children can have hours of fun. Drenthe is well known for its dolmens and its wealth of walking and cycling possibilities. The region boasts more than 1000 miles (1,700km) of cycle paths! There are also plenty of charming villages to visit, including one that’s a listed historical monument, Orvelte. The famous Wildlands Adventure zoo in Emmen is 10 minutes away, and it’s only a 30-minute trip to the Dinopark, where children (and adults) can find out all they want to know about dinosaurs.

With the Fun Dose, you can choose the right campsite for the whole family. There are four different entertainment levels: green, blue, purple, and red. The fuller the bottle, the more entertainment there is! If the potion vial is green or only half full, then there is little entertainment on site. If the vial is red or nearly full, plenty of entertainment is available.
No matter the level of the Fun Dose, the mini-clubs and participation in all activities are free of charge.
On this campsite the fun dose is purple, the campsite is very lively.
From Monday 8th July to Friday 30th August 2024,, we offer the following entertainment free of charge:
- The Clapou Club for 4-6 year olds and Policator Club for 7-10 year olds welcomes your children Monday–Friday from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and from 3 p.m.–5 p.m.
- The Nobodys (11-17 year olds) meet up five times a week.
- 4 activity leaders are present on the campsite all summer. Aquatic wake-up call every morning, sports tournaments and friendly entertainment are organised all day long.
- 4 big evening events are organized per week and we will also surprise you with our top secret entertainment and the summer dance.
- Additionally, many evenings are hosted by hired entertainers and performers who provide high quality shows.
In the Netherlands, we offer entertainment from Saturday 6th July to Sunday 1st September 2024.
